Ambrož stopped dead in his tracks when he saw who else was gathered around the table. He whirled to confront Lily, but Lily side stepped him and went into the lavishly set dining room. Ambrož sighed, took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and went into the dining room.
“Ambrož! My dear, dear boy! I haven’t seen you in ages!” Marin cried out. He tottered to his feet, his cane clattering to the floor.
Ambrož smiled brightly at his old mentor, swallowing any retorts that he had for the old man. Next to Marin sat Boone, still looking the same as if time forgot about him. He must have a portrait somewhere that looks three times as ugly as he does right now. Ambrož smiled and winked at Boone, just to see what sort of reaction he would have and as he predicted, Boone tried to smile in what he thought was a friendly way, but just ended looking like he swallowed a lemon whole. Lily would not meet his eye, when he sat down across from her. It’s probably a good idea. I could smite her.
“You’re probably wondering why you’re all here,” Marin began.
Ambrož just nodded politely, taking a sip of wine sitting on the table.
Well, my brain just fizzled. Sorry. Marin’s plans will just have to wait for another day.
And with that, I am all caught up with the prompts.
I’m going to sleep now.
